Weekend Camp 6-7 yrs: Scratch Animations

• TWO Coding Sessions: Saturday & Sunday sessions for one hour, led by a certified coding instructor. 
• FOUR Optional Play Hours: Students can play Roblox on private Code School servers every Sunday to learn through play.
• Online Sessions: All classes last one hour and are conducted via Zoom.
• Small Class Sizes: Up to ten children per class for individualised support.
• Coding materials: All customers will receive digital flashcards and course outline, and can generate a certificate once the course is completed. .
• Medium of Instruction: All classes are in English, with instructors based in multiple time zones.

Animation Adventure with Scratch
Designed especially for young children aged 6–7 years, this camp is a playful introduction to coding using Scratch. Across two fun-filled days, students will create eye-catching animations while learning fundamental programming concepts - no prior experience needed!
 

• Day 1: Dive into Animation with Scratch
  Students will kick off the camp by creating their very first Pixelate Animation. Using Scratch’s beginner-friendly, drag-and-drop interface, they’ll learn key coding concepts like events, sprites, backgrounds, broadcasts, and sequential instructions. With cheerful characters and colourful scenes, they'll turn a simple project into a pixelated masterpiece!
   
• Day 2: Movement, Creativity, and Celebration
  The second day is all about interaction and expression. Students will build a fun Mouse Trails project where characters follow the mouse across the screen, leaving behind colorful trails. They'll explore concepts like movement, cloning, loops, randomness, and revisit events in a whole new way.
  
  After that, it’s time to remix, share, and shine! Students will put their own creative twist on a project, present it in a friendly show-and-tell session, and wrap up with a fun Kahoot quiz to reinforce key ideas and celebrate everything they’ve learned.
