This "fantasy invasion" game was made by FIRST TIME CODER Emaan, age 9. She made this instructor fav app over the summer. We love her interpretation of the traditional asteroid blaster game, and how the design elements are just spot on. We like how she was ambitious about animations, randomizing the size of the sprites, and giving the evil squirrels extra ninja flair through a rotation on their way down. Tap on the screen to shoot an evil squirrel blasting spell, and reach 30 points to win.
Not gonna lie, seeing a 9-year-old build a full game is wild and super inspiring. But at the same time, making a game fun long-term is harder than people think. Animations and flair are cool, but replay value is everything. That’s why simple, fast experiences win, especially on mobile.
